Dr. Fred Pockrass, DDS

EDA Co-Founder, Dr. Fred Pockrass has been a restorative and general dentist since 1981. He is the co-creator of the country’s award-winning, first green dental office, a graduate of McGill University, and a graduate of the acclaimed PAC-Live program in Aesthetic Dentistry at University of the Pacific.

Dr. Pockrass has successfully run dental practices in both the United States and Canada. He is a featured speaker on green dentistry for both dental industry groups and the public. His passion is sharing the benefits of eco-friendly dentistry and helping to transform the dental industry.
Dr. Pockrass is a member of the American Dental Association and serves on the Editorial Board of Access Magazine, the official publication of the American Dental Hygienist’s Association. He is Canadian and American Board certified and licensed in Quebec and Ontario since 1981 and in California since 2001.


 

Ina Pockrass, JD

Ina Pockrass is the visionary leader of the green dentistry movement. She is co-founder of the Eco-Dentistry Association, an international membership organization which is greening the dental industry, and CEO of Transcendentist, Inc. a professional green dental products company. In 2003, in collaboration with her dentist-husband, she created the first green dental office in the country. In 2010, Ina was named one of the "Top 25 Women in Dentistry.” She is an intellectual property attorney and marketing and branding expert, who practiced law for 18 years. Ina is also active in the non-profit sector, serving on the Boards of the Engage Network and Circle of Life, and has served on the boards of the Sustainable Business Alliance and Sustainable Berkeley. She lectures and writes about green business and green dentistry, and is a graduate of the Washington College of Law and Mills College.
