|Dr. Fred Pockrass|
Dr. Fred Pockrass has been a restorative and general dentist since 1981. He graduated from McGill University, Montreal, Canada, and began his practice in Ottawa, the capital city of Canada, revitalizing the practice of a retiring dentist. After eight years, Dr. Pockrass fulfilled a life-long dream of studying with a meditation master in India and moved to the Himalayas. While there, he created a Western-style dental clinic and until late 2000, served as personal dentist to a noted international community. He is a graduate of the acclaimed PAC-Live program in Aesthetic Dentistry at University of the Pacific in San Francisco, CA.
In addition to his dental degree, Dr. Pockrass is a certified Tai Chi instructor, which he has taught for more than 20 years. He has been a featured speaker at conferences related to greening the dental industry. His passion is transforming his clients' experience of the dentist and making each person an expert in their own oral well-being.
Dr. Pockrass is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Biological Dentistry and serves on the Editorial Board of Access Magazine and the Advisory Board of the Academy of Intuitive Medicine ( http://intuitionmedicine.org ). He is Canadian and American Board certified and licensed in Quebec and Ontario since 1981 and in California since 2001. Dr. Pockrass co-founded Transcendentist, Inc., the leading eco-friendly dental products and services company.
Paul Feuerstein, DDS
Dr. Paul Feuerstein graduated from the New Jersey College of Medicine and Dentistry in 1972. He received his B.S. at SUNY Stony Brook in 1968. Today, in addition to continuing to practice dentistry, Dr. Feuerstein serves as a consultant to the dental profession, and is a lecturer to dental associations on technology-related topics.
Dr. Feuerstein was recently appointed Adjunct Assistant Professor at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in General Dentistry, a facility that has achieved the U.S. Green Building Councils, LEED Silver Certification. The school is dedicated to training doctors of dental medicine as expert clinicians. In this role, Dr. Feuerstein has the opportunity to introduce the latest technologies to the students, faculty, and CE course attendees.
He is also Technology Editor of Dental Economics®, and a contributor to many journals in the United States and abroad. He has incorporated many of these products and ideas in his general practice in Massachusetts, and frequently presents these product ideas in his seminar series.
John Flucke, DDS
Dr. John Flucke was born and raised in Kansas City. He received his DDS degree from the University of Missouri - Kansas City in 1987. He has practiced in Lee's Summit since 1989 and was pleased to open his new state of the art facility in 2007.
Dr. Flucke's passion is technology and he is always looking for the latest development to benefit his patients. His knowledge on technology makes him a frequent lecturer at major dental educational events, contributing editor to dental publications, and an internationally recognized opinion leader.
Marty Jablow, DMD
Dr. Martin Jablow is America's Dental Technology Coach. He received his dental degree from New Jersey Dental School in 1986 and practices in Woodbridge, NJ. Dr. Jablow has achieved Fellowships from the Academy of General Dentistry and the International Association of Dental-Facial Esthetics. A long time laser user, Dr. Jablow is certified in various laser wavelengths. Dr. Jablow holds memberships in the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry and NJ Dental Association. He is an attending dentist at John F. Kennedy Medical Center in Edison, NJ along with being a long time member of his county's Peer Review Committee. Dr. Jablow is president of Dental Technology Solutions a lecture and consulting company. Dr. Jablow writes a column for Dr. Bicuspid.com called Ask Marty? He also writes a column "Innovation Station” for Dental Learning Hub's Apex magazine.
Dr. Jablow has spoken at many major dental meetings both nationally and internationally. Some of these meetings include the ADA Annual Session, The Yankee Dental Congress, Greater NY Dental Meeting and for the California Dental Association. Consulting with various high technology companies, Dr. Jablow is involved with the process of improving established products and testing new products and techniques. Dr. Jablow consults with dental offices on implementing dental technology into their practices. Dr. Jablow enjoys promoting the use of technology in the dental office with an emphasis on improving patient care.
Donald J. Coluzzi, DDS
Donald J. Coluzzi, DDS is a 1970 graduate of the University of Southern California School of Dentistry. He recently retired after 35 years from his general dental practice in Redwood City, CA, but continues as an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of California San Francisco School of Dentistry Department of Preventive and Restorative Dental Sciences. He is past president of the Academy of Laser Dentistry and holds Advanced Proficiency certificates on Nd:YAG and Er:YAG wavelengths. He is a fellow of the American College of Dentists, as well as holding Mastership from the Academy of Laser Dentistry. He has received the Leon Goldman Award for Clinical Excellence and the Distinguished Service Award from the Academy of Laser Dentistry.
He is the Editor-in-chief of the Journal of Laser Dentistry. Dr. Coluzzi co-edited and authored the October 2004 issue of Dental Clinics of North America, and recently co-authored the Atlas of Laser Applications in Dentistry, published by Quintessence. He has published peer reviewed manuscripts about lasers in dentistry, and has trained practitioners throughout the world. Disclosure: Dr. Coluzzi currently has no financial interest in any laser manufacturer. In the past, he has received honoraria from Hoya ConBio for education and training courses.
Ali Farahani, DDS
|Dr. Ali Farahani graduated as a general practitioner from Dalhousie University in Halifax, in 2000 and for the past 8 years, has done locums in a number of different practices across the country, from high-end cosmetic and spa dentistry in Montreal, Quebec, to rural hospital dentistry in northern Alberta, Ontario. He is an accredited member of the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (I.A.O.M.T.) an organization for dental, medical and research professionals who practice mercury-free dentistry, and scientific biocompatibility. Dr. Farahani and his team have trained and continue to train in advanced cosmetic dentistry at the renowned Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. Dr. Farahani has published numerous articles on a 'green' approach to dentistry as well as a natural approach to dental health in general. His private practice which is integrative as well as environmentally-friendly is located in Stratford, Ontario, Canada.|
Steven Koos, DMD, MD
Dr.Steven Koos specializes in oral and maxillofacial surgery. Dr. Koos is one of a select few dual-degreed oral and maxillofacial surgeons in the nation who has obtained both dental and medical degrees. He graduated from Northwestern University Dental School in 1996 and also obtained a Medical Degree from Case Western Reserve University in 2000. Dr. Koos furthered his training and education through a five year intensive residency program focused in General Surgery and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at University Hospitals of Cleveland, Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital, Mt Sinai Hospital, and MetroHealth Hospital of Cleveland.
Dr. Koos has proudly created the nation's first fully "green” oral surgery facility- ORA Oral Surgery & Implant Studio in Chicago, IL. His integrative, holistic treatment philosophy began with the comprehensive design of a sustainable facility that strictly followed LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) guidelines, and continues with his practice of green health care through GGHC (Green Guide For Health Care) and EDA (Eco-Dentistry AssociationTM) protocols and recommendations. Dr. Koos has partnered and collaborated with many authoritative organizations such as the WHO (World Health Organization), HCWH (Health Care Without Harm), and the U.S. EPA (Environmental Protection Agency). Jason E. McMillan
A graduate in 2000 from the Oregon Health and Sciences University School of Dentistry, Dr. McMillan practices general dentistry, lectures on the benefits and feasibility of sustainable design and operations and has consulted with Henry Schein Dental, the U.S. dental division of Henry Schein, Inc., which is the largest provider of healthcare products and services to office-based practitioners in the combined North American and European markets.
A passionate steward of the environment, Dr. Jason E. McMillan pioneered a new standard for environmentally responsible dentistry with the first LEED-certified dental practice in the United States, Mint Dental Works in Portland, Oregon. LEED, which stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design is the nationally recognized benchmark for green building and operations governed by the U.S. Green Building Council. In 2008, Mint Dental works received the highest level of certification, LEED Platinum, for its efforts.Dr. McMillan has also been distinguished with a BEST Award from the City of Portland; an Excellence Award for a Green Remodeling Project from the Home Builders Association of Metropolitan Portland; and a Green Building Award through the Oregon Remodelers Association. Dr. McMillan's progressive practice has been featured in a wide variety of international, national and local publications including French Glamour Magazine, Dental Economics and the Oregonian.
Kathleen Bernardi, RDH
Situated on the environmentally sensitive Oak Ridges Moraine in Ontario, Canada, Woodland Dental Hygiene has recently achieved Silver Certification with the Eco-Dentistry Association and has become the first dental office in Canada to do so.

|Dr. Walter Clifford is the Founder, President and Research Director of Clifford Consulting & Research in Colorado Springs, Colorado, providing consultation, testing and research services related to health care and biomedical applications.
